I am a harmless old biddy who is currently residing somewhere east of the sun and west of the moon. By temperament and desire I am a garden-and-book Epicurean who enjoys experiencing modest pleasures such as aponia (absence of pain), khara (joy), euphrosynê (merriment), and lathe biosas (live unknown), all of which add up to the great Epicurean ideal of ataraxia (tranquility). So I try to base my life on ideas of slowness, inner luxury, imaginative reverie, and poetic perception. I also love to immerse myself in classic literature, fin-de-siècle aesthetics, the spiritual traditions of both East and West, the history of divination, and any other kind of quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore. My other interests include drinking tea, minimalism, supporting anything decentralized or P2P, moon gazing, and listening to the voices of the earth and the sky. And I am still seeking a dharma bum.

You can reach me at themista . . . @ . . . mail.com.
